We're expecting!

:open_mouth:

… no… not me…

…and not any of my kids…

We’ve decided to adopt a one year old, with longish red hair and very bowed legs… at least the front ones. He’s a lovely and sweet little dachshund who charmed the hearts of all the female members of the family, and at least didn’t elicit any troubling reaction from the current canine child, our 5yo otterhound. We expect to bring the little bundle of joy home Saturday, after he gets ‘tutored’ at the vets’.

Hopefully, he will either already have, or will quickly acquire, the skills to be an indoor dog as well as outdoor. We’re looking forward to the challenge.

 Have fun!

Otterhound? Sounds like another shaggy dog story.

More doggy cuteness. I have all I can manage (1) at the moment.

That’s him, fairly short haired. He’s shaggier now that he’s older. He’s lovingly referred to as ‘the hay bale with legs’.

looks ace! congratulations, enjoy your new friend.

What fun!

Congratulations!

Thanks Denny. I just posted the link instead of the image, so that I didn’t tie up bandwidth for the site owner.

:smiling_imp: not like it’s a Great Dane

Bladder Campion, Silene vulgaris! …and a puppy! Great rabbit hunters, dachshunds, we have two miniatures in our puppy class.

How awesome! He’s really cute, annie  Congratulations on your newest addition!

Hopefully your otterhound won’t think he looks like an otter!

Congrats on the new addition.

Redwolf

He is really more of a tortugahound… he digs out and then eats turtles! Shell and all! (shudder)

Came home wearing a none too small snapping turtle as a lip-ring one day! :open_mouth:

He wanted his mommy to save him!
