Hi all! I am a brand new member of the forum, but it seems a lively place already! 
I thought I would make a topic in case anyone else wanted to introduce themselves.
I’m 22, and have been playing the whistle since I got my first one (a tiny little f) at age 5. I have never played with anyone else, but rely heavily on it to communicate my emotions when words fail.

Welcome Gadget, this place can be a lot of fun. We sometimes manage to pass on useful information too, but we don’t make a habit of it.
LOL!! I’ll keep that in mind.
In the meantime I have to say it’s awesome to be able to chat with a bunch of other whistle players! I can’t say I’ve ever gotten the opportunity…

I’m 17, have been playing for about 6 monthes, since my sister got me a nice waltons D whistle. I’m waiting for a Clarke. I don’t care what everybody sdays, I gotta have a clarke!

I had a clarke for a short time when I first started and I think I’m one of the few people that didn’t love it.
The wooden mouth piece (fipple?) quickly sprung a leak and I had to manouver around it, then it fell out completely! 
I stick to my beloved sweetheart and the Generations.
I love my Clarke now I’ve taken a hammer to it. And sparkly nail varnish. Have fun with it when you get it, Raiden! As it happens, I’m splitting all my time currently between a new Gen and an old Sweetone, but the Clarke looks fun, at least …
