Has anyone transcribed any of the whistle tunes from the movie Waking Ned Devine? I particularly like Red Herrings by John McSherry, I think.
Tis one of my favorite movies! Love to work on the music. I’ll be watching this thread to see if anyone has a suggestions.

I’m glad someone has finally brought this up. I have been trying to learn Michael’s Ride but it isn’t exactly easy…
I was doodling around on my F whistle one day and realized that the “improvised” tune I was playing was actually bits and pieces from Red Herrings. I’ll see if I can’t have a transcription up in a couple of days. Is sheet music okay for people? I’m not brilliant at ABC notation.
Narsoron, I’ve e-mailed you what I’ve done so far on Red Herrings. It’s very draft but I don’t have time right now to take it further. Let me know what you come up with. John McSherry repeats the tune several time but then starts playing more improvisational-sounding stuff later on. The only problem is, it’s a very stop and start sort of tune. Great though!
