Wait for a Sindt?

Does anybody know how long it takes to get a Sindt whistle? Or two… I’d appreciate if somebody could help me out. Thanks!

Brent

About 8 moths, last I heard.

8 months huh? I got my D almost 3 years ago and the wait was about a month and a half. But I assure you Kard, I found at least that it’s worth the wait. It’s taken me this long to break it in well, but it’s a gem. Some guy offered me 200 dollars for it at a session just a while ago! lol But I said no way of course =) Isn’t it true that when you find “the one” you wouldn’t part with it for the world. lol Just the other day I got one of the “improved” Generations from Ireland. Sounds okay, needs breaking in, but my advice is…wait for the Sindt!

Brent, Sindt whistles are not right for you. You like a loud whistle. It doesn’t fit the bill.

Iawhistle,

Breaking in a metal whistle? What does that mean? Beyond getting it warm I suspect its breaking you in rather than the other may around. I know it took awhile for my Copeland to “break me in” and tell me its secrets.

Jessie,
I do prefer loud whistles, because most of the time I’m not alone when I play. But about a month ago I aquired a Sindt D and I like it a lot…Now I’m considering a C and/or a Bb.

Hey Clark, well, I know it sounds strange, but I firmly belive that that something must have wore in or wore away from daily use because the high b could’ve taken the hair off your chin, and now it’s much more mellow. lol More mellow tone in general and thank goodness.

Ianwhistle,

It must be the work of the crystal people!

Whatever the wait may be, it’s worth it. Right after I got my ‘D’ I ordered an ‘E Flat’. Upon getting the ‘E Flat’ I ordered a ‘B Blat.’ Waiting for a Sindt Whistle gives you something to look forward to. Speaking of which, I think I’ll check on the status of that 'B Flat’order…
