Hi everyone,
Sorry, it has been a while since I scored a nice eBay flute to restore…
This is a flute made by Clementi, with a ivory head joint, kind of unusual for a English flute… I got a good deal, as everyone probably took it for, yet another German flute…
Still have to make some foot keys for it, but i did repair the block. The crown is my own rendition, hard to say what the original looked like, maybe metal clad? The most amazing thing about this Clementi, known for bad tuning, It plays well enough in tune, foot only 20 cents flat… Wonders never cease!

Maybe I should name it “scar face”? What do you think Peri? ![]()
Genius never sleeps.
Great find Jon.
Yes, it has been a pretty long while, Jon. You must have been busy! ![]()
Congrats on another nice flute for your collection, and for having a sharp eye.
Hmmm… how did I miss that!?!

I’m tapped for flute money anyway… and my new eBayflute© still ain’t here yet!
Scareface? I dunno… did it tell you its name? I’m not the one that names them. ![]()
I know one thing for sure.
I’m darn lucky you live so close. ![]()
Your lovely antique flute hasn’t shown up yet? Maybe you should contact the seller, and ask him why the @#$% it hasn’t been sent yet!!! ![]()
