Susatos: Dublin vs Kildare?

Other than the tunability, is there any difference in tone between the two types of Susatos? I want to get a VSB and it’s almost half the cost to get the Dublin.

The VSB is available in both Dublin and Kildare models.
I have two VSB Kildares arriving tomorrow (D & E) and I’ll post a review after I get to know them for a few days.
I like to have the option to tune my whistles a bit… even though I rarely do.
I’ve never played a Dublin model since they are not tunable, so I don’t know if there are any tonal differences between the two models.
My guess would be that the difference would be very subtle if indeed there is any difference.
I believe there will be quite a noticable difference in tone with the new VSB models though… we’ll see!

Nope..Cant tell you about the VSB though,
I do know that they (Laser Engravred Kildare)
do sound pretty much alike, Maybe a slight teensy bit of a difference with the Breath Requirements.

I prefer how the Dublin looks. I like the Kildares because they break down into more portable units, but their tunability doesn’t impress me. It may just be my imagination, but my Dublins sound a tiny bit brighter than the Kildares, perhaps because there is less plastic to them–but I’ve been accused of having too much plastic to my brain, not in those exact words of course, . . . I ordered the VSB Dublin sop D because that is all I can’t afford right now! The Kildare would break down to fit in my purse better.:rummaging through drawers to find more things to sell:
