Susato low D

Hello,
What is the difference between Susato Dublins and Susato Kildare?
Thanks,

Check out the Kelischek Workshop home page at

http://www.susato.com/

It discribes the Dublin as a one piece (non-tunable) model and the Kildare as a two-part instruments that can be pitch-adjusted by pulling the joint in or out.

Oops, a double post.

Hello stefpat

Susato Dublin is a one piece whistle but cannot be adjusted for pitch.
Susato Kildare is a two piece whistle that can be pitch-adjusted by
pulling the joint in or out.

This is the website http://www.susato.com/

I play Susato Kildare Soprano Sizes -S- Series Black bodies D E flat and E with one head joint and Susato Kildare Soprano Sizes -S- Series Brown bodies C B B flat with one head joint . Susato Dublin one piece Low D G A I aslo play.

All the best

Thanks a lot

The Kildare also has a bent neck as an option, inspired, I suppose, by the Renaissance r******r background of the maker.

With a piper’s grip this bent neck is actually a liability. For meself anyhoo, I prefer a straight and proper low whistle.
