Sunday's Parade Magazine wordteaser, not OT

I was reading the Parade magazine that comes in our Sunday newspaper. On page 18 is the “Ask Marilyn” column. She’s a high IQ Mensa member that answers questions sent to her. At the bottom of the column is a weekly wordteaser. An unusual word is given with four possible definitions. This week’s word? “Fipple”. Anyone know what it is? Hmmm?

Here’s the definition choices given:

A) The grooved plug in the end of a whistle
B) To blow bubbles in a beverage through a straw
C) A weak croak uttered by a frog to signify fear
D) An ancient coin having a value equivalent to half a goat
