OT - What's your favorite whistle?

Sorry Dale…couldn’t resist.

Eric

That’s funny. You know, sometimes LOL is used a bit too liberally, but I actually did make noise as I laughed at this post.

That would be the stainless steel police one, which my great-grandmother, at age 90, demonstrated to the entire family as she marched up and down the hall when we were all trying to go to bed. That was many years ago. I wonder what happened to it?

I think this is a good time to ask what C&F’s policy is towards on-topic threads.

Caj

 So this is what you all do when you’re sent to the corner

(not an attempt to be obnoxious…just a play on what ad said on the whistle board  )

You have just entered…

THE O.T. ZONE! :astonished: :boggle: :astonished:

I saw this thread and I didn’t know WHERE I was. :boggle: Seriously.

Then I saw BB’s thread and realized it was the OT Zone. I expected to hear Rod Serlings voice as I typed this . . .

Will O’Ban

Ok. Very funny.

 I hate whistles, I hate whistles, I hate whistles
they are so screechy, they hurt my ears.

This is cool, it’s a place of freedom, we can post any nonsense here without feeling guilty. Let’s start a big OT-party! Get your recorders out and play a few polkas.
:stuck_out_tongue: It’s partytime in the whistlefree zone! :stuck_out_tongue:

Can I just play my waxpaper/comb instrument instead?

So, uh, if we post on topic , we use OT,and if we post off topic, we use OT too?
This new division in the forum is looking more and more like Iraq. I don’t trust that poll we had either. How much have we spent on the new section of the forum? 100 billion? 200 billion?

I like Lauren Bacall’s whistle in ‘To Have and Have Not’

I’m kinda partial to the ‘wolf’s call’ whistle… though it has left me with a few (… and perhaps well deserved) scars.

So, what kinda recorder did Capn Kirk play in that movie??? And what was that song???

I don’t play the whistle actually. I play the flageolet.

It was a mithril Yamaha student model and he was playing The Ode To Bilbo Baggins.

So, does that mean that you are a flageolant?

It’s about time someone figured out that it’s always about me
Now wait…I am posting OFF TOPIC on an ON TOPIC thread on the OFF TOPIC forum. Does that mean that I’m on topic in an off topic way? :boggle:
