Six Degrees of Chiff and Fipple

Chatting with Avanutria over the holidays, we considered that almost every subject we thought of has been covered, or touched upon, on this illustrious website at some point.

If you can think of anything (suitable for disussion on a family forum) that has not yet been discussed, please post below…

Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

How about where to keep your whistle in the car? I’m thinking of putting in a special bracket on the dash so I can have easy access to it at stoplights. Yes, I’ve only been playing a month, but I’m already geeked enough to play in the car.

Why is John Sheehan of the Dubliners not mentioned with any great frequency in these pages???

An incredible whistle player with an instantly recognisable style and a sense of rhythm second to none.

That is truly a mystery…

Slan,
D.

The cup holder maybe or in the passenger seat with the seat belt on  or the side pocket on the door the possibilities are endless.

If the subject has already been covered will that person be ostracized?

Is the bodhran a conundrum?

Can a person vandalize his or her own property?

And to think…some people took me serious when I asked if God could build a rock so big he couldn’t move it. They might know God, but they don’t know me!

Where’s the beef?

When I get my bracket done (imagine how cops keep their shotguns inthe car), I’ll post a picture.

what is Spam REALLY made of?

Oh, Spam - it’s made of… well, you know, “pieces and parts” of… stuff.

What concerns me more is what is that jelly-like substance that it’s packed in?

:astonished:

And who decided the order of the days of the week? I want Monday to be in the middle, so I’ll have more time to prepare for it.

Well, things like offers to enlarge my ahem johnson. Of course, I haven’t seen fit to take advantage.

If you eat in a dinner jacket, and smoke in a smoking jacket, what do you do in a windbreaker?

Your local city ordinances probably say yes. Not in a permission-type yes, in case you’re confusing “can” with “may”. I mean an ontological yes. Which means no. If “can” means “may”, that is.

Wanderer,

Thank you for bringing a smile to an otherwise awful day. You have planted a seed. Never forget that the ordinary things we do can have extraordinary results.

Mike

I haven’t been here for a long time, but I have something that has kept me interested in boring classes. Make (or imagine) an index card with the words “The other side of the card is true” on it, and on the other side “The other side of this card is false.” I found this in a book of paradoxes when I was little. If anybody has any answers, tell me, 'cause I might just be wasting my time wondering about it.

What’s another word for thesaurus?

Get away from with that windbreaker!

:astonished:
