I’m doing my best, but need a little help here! Does anybody have any whistle-related threads they’ve just been itching to post? I think now would be a great time to post them! No replies necessary to this thread, unless you just want to be fresh!
Well, since you asked…
I’ve just been thinking alot lately of how amazingly cool it is that such a tiny piece of metal, wood or plastic can produce such emotion. I know that until I got into the whistle, it was big flashy musicals all the way for me! But now I’m more than content, and often MORE content, to listen or play a single melody. And it’s fun to watch people’s expression when you tell them you play the whistle. Most of them stare for a moment, blink, then ask, “Huh? You mean, like you can play the thing the Coach always blows?”
Hoorah for the whistle, and hoorah for you all. Have a fabulous day!
EDIT: This is a good opportunity, because it certainly isn’t worth its own thread to say I recorded some of my own playing. It’s on Clips and Snips under Orig. “Yearning”, by Sara Shaw. It’s kinda quiet because my mic is cheap, so you may wanna turn up your sound for it. I’d like constructive criticism if possible! http://www.tinwhistletunes.com/clipssnip/orig.html
