I’m planning to spend July/August drifting around Ireland, seeing the sights, looking up relatives, drinking beer, and of course listening to music.
I learned the whistle 4-ish years ago, but am not flash at it: on the Beginner-Basic-Intermediate-Advanced scale, I’d rate myself as a low-Basic. Not musically talented (compared to many) - but I really love making music, and Irish tunes stir something in me.
Has anyone got recommendations for summer-schools or suchlike that I might enrol in? Ideally aimed at adult-beginners, rather than eight-year-olds (I’m almost 40!) - but am open to all sorts of possibilities.
Actually, thoughts for after summer are welcome too: In September-ish, I need to either go home or get a job .. one option is staying for a year or two.
