SOLD: Hammy Hammilton (blackwood)

Keyless Hammy in blackwood for U$1,100
It’s in great condition, I just had it recorked and also the headslide was a bit loose and I had that fixed as well.
My digital camera broke but I can try to take some pics with my cell phone.
I can accept Paypal, but I’d need the 3.5% to be added for the fees. IPMOs and bank transfer is also OK. Please ask for shipping cost. I’ll pay the insurance.

Wow, that was quick, good for you, Romulo. I imagine you’ll be playing your new to you Olwell very soon–should be a nice flute too-good luck with it! I wonder how it will compare with the Hammy-let us know what you think of it if you get a chance, OK?

By the way, if anyone else is interested in a Hammy, a friend of mine has a nice one she will be selling shortly. She is on vacation until the middle of August, but if you email or PM me I can give you her contact info.

Huzzah.

Mukade now has his dream flute. It is rare a Hammy appears in this neck of the woods, but when it did I had to snap it up.

It is a well-travelled tooter. From Miltown Malbay to Gunma Prefecture and now down to Shizuoka.

It is in perfect condition, and what a beast of a flute. It going to take some work to tame it - that is if any flute can ever really be tamed.

Thanks to Romulo for the quick service. We should get together sometime in Tokyo and have a flute duel between the Hammy and the Olwell.

Mukade

Thank you Mukade-san!

That’s good that you liked the Hammy. In the last days, I think I was having good embouchure days and I was beginning to regret the sale, but anyway, I wanted to take the risk for the Olwell (since I couldn’t afford both)

The Olwell is great but I’m just a bit disappointed because it seems to be its Rudall model :frowning:

Comparing with my Gilles Lehart (Rudall), this Olwell has even smaller holes, so it should be Olwell’s “Rudall” model. I think that the tuning is much better and is easier and more responsive to play than the Hammy, like people said. At least in this particular flute the F# is not even flatter than the Hammy like Krell mentioned and it’s quite spot on. Or maybe I tend to play better Rudall-type flutes, can’t tell for sure.

I don’t know if Olwell keeps a register of older clients, but anyway I emailed him to ask about the flute just to have a confirmation and also to make an indecent proposition to exchange for one of his Prattens :stuck_out_tongue:.
Or is there anyone out there up for an exchange?
