Sessions in Seattle next week?

Hi y’all,

I’ll be in Seattle next week for a Microsoft conference, am looking to play in as many sessions as I can find… I’ll be bringing an Uilleann practice set (full set too big for airline carryon) and a whistle or two.

I already know about the Wednesday night at Irish Emmigrant (no fun for me), anyone know if there is still a Wednesday night session at the Dubliner? Also, Thursday night at the Celtic Bayou, I plan to go there…

So that leaves Tuesday and Wednesday still unconfirmed for playing. Anyone want to arrange an informal pub or house session? I’d love to meet more of the Seattle trad community. I’ll be staying in Bellevue.

Cheers and thanks for any leads,

Michael

You just mentioned the two regular, non-beginner sessions I know of in the area (haven’t been to the Dubliner session - can’t comment). Is it the talent or personalities that turn you off to the Emigrant’s session? Just curious. I’ve payed to see performances of many of folks that show up there regularly. Beer at the Celtic Bayou is excellent

Not playing in sessions yet, but my buddy and I might make it down into Redmond on Thursday with our punter-costumes on  We’ll keep an eye out for a practice-set of pipes!

Spittle, check your PMs… I’d rather not discuss the specifics in a public forum…

There’s a Tuesday evening session at the Ould Triangle in the Ballard district - around 7:30PM. Also, Sunday eves at Ould Pequliar on Market St in Ballard. The Dubliner sessions have ceased for now.
