No silly offers? How does one define a “serious” offer?

Yes, no silly offers. Pay what is asked, or make an offer within reason. Be ready for such an offer to be accepted and be likely and able to proceed with a purchase.
Asking for a $100? Then $30 is probably a silly offer. $90, well I’d consider that serious, yet it still doesn’t mean it would be acceptable to a seller.
How about funny offers?
I love those.
I doubt that someone who is funny enough to make silly offers will be deterred from doing so by the request for “serious offers only” anyway.

What’s annoying (to me) is when “serious offers only” are solicited without any price or beginning point stated - like we’re supposed to read the seller’s mind to make a large enough offer that doesn’t insult them.
Beyond that, business is business, and I have no qualms about offending a potential seller with a low-ball offer. If they don’t want to sell it (or negotiate further), all they have to do is say “no”. I don’t care if they consider my offer non-serious or otherwise.
You find the same sort of seller stipulating ‘no time wasters’.
