Hi. I’m a long time daily lurker. from N. Ireland, and have been living in Okinawa, Japan for 10 years. I play flute, whistle and guitar. Four Japanese friends and myself now have a little trad. band here and we’ve been playing once or twice a month to whoever’ll listen to us for the past couple of years.

Could someone possibly nip over to the CDBaby website and tell me the name of the first tune being played on track 5 of the ‘Across the pond’ CD by Kevin Griffin, Roger Burridge, Michael Shorrock and Quentin Cooper.
Track 5 is titled ‘Pigeon on the gate’, but that’s not the name of the first tune in the set. I’m about to order the CD but I need the dots to the tune as our fiddle player, while nothing short of a genius with a bow, takes ages to learn the tune by ear alone.

Sounds like Crowley’s Reel to me…
the tune by that name I have on my site is not that one…but I recognize it from Cherish the Ladies New Day Dawning cd.
