Boo.. I can’t believe people are leaving the list over a couple of small ‘fights.’ When you leave a forum like this for that reason, the only ‘winner’ is the person who was attacking you and the losers are everone else in the piping community.

Is it possible that, as a matter of fairness to all involved, the administrator of the board has notified several people that their membership expires on a certain date? Just a guess. I don’t think so many would otherwise kindly bow out. After all, Dale really couldn’t take sides in a squabble without suffering the wrath of some, and polarizing the group.
BTW, I like knowing I can send an email to dionys, tok, boyd, mac, lemon, elbogo, peter, alan, davy, christian, jeff, stuart, (larrym use to post his email before he left), patrick, dale, and many others. I would encourage all to do likewise in an act of good faith.
I still think the new kid on the block is someone we all know. All it takes is a new membership ID and email address. There’s no other REAL explanation for such sudden irrational vituperative retribution. His intentions seem double, but the real intention is what’s inbetween the lines…to actually cause the board to shut down, his final attempt at retribution.
Let’s all take a wee break for a week or two and then come back here if we feel like it and want to learn more about this beautiful instrument.
The less we have knee jerk posting, the better.
And that would help the more negative posters forget about all the fun they’re getting from winding people up. The last think I’d do with a crank caller is have a conversation…

The only people ‘destroying’ the board are idiots such as yourself who have never contributed anything of use to the board. Do the board a favour and unregister. Go back to your village.

No. I haven’t asked anyone to leave or encouraged anyone to leave or anything of the sort. I’ve asked people to mind their manners. That’s it. I’m sure there is a reason people leave when asked to mind their manners but I admit I don’t get it.

I think it is very important that we have pipe-makers contribute to this forum, because we will all learn from the interaction… and learning is what this forum is all about.
I for one do not want Mr. Stephenson to leave, as I have found his posts very informative.
