Seeking contacts and tunes in the vicinity of Newcastle-on-Tyne, UK, Oct 23-26. I’ll be presenting at the “Representing Ireland” conference, which apparently runs concurrently with the Tyneside Irish Fest, and would be happy to meet up with Net-friends for tunes and crack.

The Cumberland Arms in Byker on Wednesday is the main ITM session but you’ll be missing that. The Bridge Hotel by the High Level bridge sometimes has stuff on on a thursday night. I think there’s a session in Durham on a Friday but couldn’t be sure of the top of my head and it’s a 30-40 minute drive.
This is just off the top of my head, so I’ll find out what’s going on and PM you.
Incidently, from your screen name, are you into american oldtimey stuff or do you play mostly Irish?
