If that Silmarillion 's one (your link is dead), that’s long gone.
Not sure why the link is dead, but Silmarillion is the poster and it was only placed 2 days ago on August 6th.
Seems to be a live post???
Do you know something else about this whistle??
Check out the used instrument exchange and see what you think.

OK I’ll spell it out: he sold it to me yesterday.

Now that is useful information.
Enjoy the whistle.

Thanks so much for posting the mp3 music clip of the Sindt whistle. The sound was awesome. I really have to say I was amazed. I am considering a low d right now, but you have almost sold me on one of these high d models with this clip.
Thanks again,
Scottie
I stumbled into a box of O’Briain improved last month. I bought the sixth one I tried out of that lot.
In fairness, they are very close tonally to the Sindt, especially the second octave. A bit more nimble and more sensitive to how you blow them and with a better cross fingered Cnat. At €25 a fine alternative.

Thanks so much for posting the mp3 music clip of the Sindt whistle. The sound was awesome.
There’s a lovely tone and complexity there for me, nice one, it’s a pity they don’t also package that nice room reverb in with the whistle as it would come in awful handy some places ![]()
PS. I’ll probably get into trouble now but I thought the very adept articulation of the playing could be further enhanced by leaning/relaxing into the rhythm jig a bit more there to carry it along (I realise that’s slightly unfair out of context and not the purpose of the demo, lovely sound).
I honestly don’t even remember why I recorded that … To show some possible fingerings, I suppose. It’s a bit sloppy, but that’s OK. And the Sindt was probably the whistle that just happened to be sitting on my desk. ![]()
Just got an A tube to go with my Bb whistle from John, it’s lovely and very in tune! Can’t praise him enough. Don

Thanks for the audio clip MT Guru. The sound was really nice. I contacted John and the wait is about 9-10 months. He must have a large following. Cost is $130 + $10 shipping. I figured I better get on his list now before I get too old to blow.
and still time to pick up an O’Briain Improved while you’re waiting for it ![]()
