Posting clips

There’s a sticky thread with such name in flute forum, and it seems to be of much use. Why is there no such thread in whistle section?

( yes, I do know about whistlethis.com and “whistle” group on youtube, but first has very limited number of tunes, and second - very limited number of readers  )

quiet…next thing ya know the Free Reeds will want one too!

Partly because of Clips and Snips serving a similar purpose. And the flute thread was originally motivated by a specific discussion.

But it’s an idea. If people want to post clips to this thread, and it catches on, it could become a candidate for stickiness. So have at it.

Well, there’re hundreds of places where you can post your playing, but few places where you can get feedback, with critique and good advice being part of it. Clips&snips won’t give you any, this message board will (I hope).

( and now i’ll try to find some quiet place to make clips  )

I wish I were brave enough to post a clip. Of course, I would have to figure out how to post it first . I know everyone would be very helpful and I don’t mind the criticism, but i just can’t seem to play a tune when I know it’s being recorded.

Hm, I know that sub-fora are not really considered a great idea, but maybe a subforum with clips wouldn´t be such a bad idea…

I was thinking that every person could have his own topic - it would be orderly and easy to see the development.

If it was all in one topic, we´d quickly have many pages of clips and comments from various people, which would be very chaotic.

Clips and Snips has it’s own forum as part of the larger C&F board. It’s totally up to yourself if you want to give feedback to posters of clips. The forum is there so why not use it?

Indeed, thanks Peter - I wasn´t aware of it. When I visited it some time ago, it seemed rather inactive to me, so I forgot…
