Poking around on ebay and found this...

Scam?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ari-De-Keyser-Irish-Wooden-Flute-/121057383460?pt=UK_Woodwind_Instruments&hash=item1c2f951424&_uhb=1

It looks suspiciously similar to this:

It looks like the seller of the supposed De Keyser flute took the photo of the other and cut the black bag out from under the case, then zoomed the picture out. Also, the description says that the box is not included…

The photo of the flute-with-box-only can be found here. The flute-with-box-and-case is also an internet photo. A Google image search finds them both. Hard to tell whether this is just a short cut by the sellers or scam…

Best wishes.

Steve

Hm, it just seems really fishy because the flutes and the case look exactly the same. I don’t know. :-\

Could be that the sellers just took stock photos and posted them. One seller seems to be an individual, the other some sort of commercial enterprise. Neither instills great trust given the use of someone else’s pictures.

Best wishes.

Oh dear, yes, this flute picture is everywhere. Now they label it a De Keyser? Okay…

Reminds me of that pratten on ebay, where the seller linked a YT clip of that tradschool guy playing an obviously entirely different flute (tuning slide!)…
