I guess you really have to watch what you buy on ebay these days…

YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE BEAUTIFUL HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE WITH BLUE FLOWERS. THE FLUTE MEASURE 18 1/2in LONG AND ABOUT 2 1/2’’ IN DIAMETER , ALSO COMES WITH WOOD CASE, VERY NICE. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT KEY THE FLUTE PLAYS AND HAVE NO WAY TO FIND OUT.THIS FLUTE IS IN MINT CONDITION. SHIPPING WILL COST YOU $7.25 PRIORITY MAIL PLUS INS. I have 3 of the Hall Flutes and … every one of them tells you what key they are in right on the front… they say “Hall Crystal Flute Piccolo in C” or whatever… Hmmm Makes you wonder about the authenticity of things you find on ebay these days.

There are other discrepancies like size and pattern, too… sigh I shall have to see how much people are going to pay for it.

And none of them have wooden cases they are green gift boxes.

How would one hold (let alone fill with air :astonished: ) a flute that was 18.5" long and TWO AND ONE HALF inches in diameter as well!!! Incredible. :roll:

They probably meant 2-1/2 inches in circumference.

The seller historically seems to have specialized in stickers, shoehorns, and miniature padlocks. They are probably only now venturing out into the music industry . . .

If you click on the smaller photo, you can see that it has “hall crystal flute” engraved on it. You just can’t see what key it is.

You can email the seller to tell him or her this and that they should look on the instrument for the key.

Could be an early model, before Hall started marking the key on the flute.

There is a second Hall, with a wooden case, on eBay.

It was sold, with seller & buyer leaving positive feedbacks to each other.

It is from the same seller. You could always ask the previous buyer how the flute is working out for them.
