I hope I’m not butting in too much here, but I just wanted to draw your attention to three tunes submitted to the Clips site today, including two done on a flat set in B.

Nice job on the Bb Williams set Ken…The Old Bush is one of my favorites on the pipes and I esp. enjoyed your version.
Lorenzo, thanks a million. This started when Steve Turner started the thread about the ACA triplet etc and I thought it would be worthwhile trying to record a couple of ideas on variations etc. I may have crammed more than is normal into twice through, but I started over the Xmas hols and it’s taken me a while to get it off the minidisc.
Ken
Twice through saves me repeating so often. The ACA triplet was a tough one for me to get up to speed. For some reason, the right hand worked fine for the nuances (years of finger picking guitar I guess) but me “south paw” never wanted to coordinate with my brain quite as well! It took a few years. I wonder if “leftys” have the opposite problem.
Lefty , here . Though I started out on the tin wistle left handed , the pipes came and I had to switch to a right handed set . Now I am all but usless on the wistle . But , since I think the top hand is harder on the pipes I have the " upper hand " , so to speak . lol .

Nice to hear a Bb Dave Williams playing away there. I have a Williams Bb chanter lying around I’m inspired to get playing on now.
Sorry, I should have corrected Lorenzo earlier, the pipes are pitched in B not Bb.
I am also a lefty but I’ve always played right handedly (is that a real term). I often wonder if my cran would be easier if I played left handed, but both sets of fingers have such a lot to do, I think you would always have one hand better than the other.
Ken
Lovely and clean.
Nice job on the aca triplet…I’ve also got to keep on this continually…my right hand triplets have always been easier for me then the left.
Additionally, for me, the aca triplet is compunded by the awkwardness of the independent finger motion between the the index and middle finger.
Right…B, not Bb. I got so inspire from listening to Ken Ricketts B set that I went and bought Tom Kennedy’s Quinn set in B that he had for sale.
