OT - JessieK

Serves you right, Jessie. After all, who else would think to look THEMSELF up on Google? You look better than her, anyway.

FWIW, I found nothing so interesting. Just me on C&F, some pompous English Lit undergrad posting an opinion that Karl Marx got his ideas from Thomas More, and some guy complaining about his tires.

BTW, was anyone else aware that a Google search will find your C&F profile - complete with e-mail address?

Funny, though unfair!

Checked your suggestion out. First to come out was my profile on C&F. Second is the instrument I borrow as nick, and of more interest than my quite restricted biography.
My…! After such an alarming search I wonder how much spam get those who chose to put their normal email address in profile…

Confirming my motto :
“Being paranoid doesn’t mean
No-one follows you in the street.”

I really don’t know whether I get any more spam as a result of having my real e-mail in my C&F profile, but I doubt its much more if any. My e-addy is in so many places that there are plenty of other places that some jackass with a search program would find it.

I just use a good virus killer (McAfee) and a good spam catcher (McAfee SpamKiller) and have had no significant problems.

Well, I have to say that the only time my tinwhislter.com account ever got spam was for about a week after I got signed up to a bunch of spam lists. I’ve since taken care of that particular problem.

How, pray tell?

He just misspells it whenever he writes it.

Edited to make this a more useful post

Looked myself up too. Remarkably little as avanutria, though I need to put a spamblocker on sessioneer it seems, as they are googled aslmost as well as C&F is. No relevent hits on my full real name, and only two on my nonfull real name. My old web name still has some hits, though - including when I managed to get myself listed as an official chat acronym for a program called Powwow! LOL

Oh, c’mon ava. I tried avanutria and this was the top hit:

Here’s number 3

Not surprisingly, tink proved a little less fruitful. I suppose it could have something to do with my lack of originality… nahhhh.

My real name, on the other hand, turned up a whole bunch of college stuff, including a few old versions of my resume, and my old web page, which appears to still be mostly intact. I thought the thing would have been torn down months ago, since I graduated last May…

Good one, Jessie. Anyway, you’re more of a cutie pie these days anyway.

Was this pre- or post-Monica Lewinsky, Jessie?

Nice navel butterflies too, BTW.

Cute, Jessie, but does she play the whistle?

Oh, that’s a lovely image.

Careful now, or you will have the “There are children reading this board” crowd after you.

Hah. I’ve recently moved to Scotland.

But that’s not the only thing wrong with me, apparantly. Look at what drivel I write these days:

Balance is important to me. I like to feel there is some form of equilibrium to everything I do. I like to balance my work and non-work life, so that neither dominates the other. I like to have a mixture of activity and inactivity, so that I can enjoy the times when I am busy and also the times when I can chill out and relax. I like to be both a rebel and a conformist. I enjoy being both argumentative and agreeable. I am both unreasonable and reasonable.

I get the feeling that most people who only know me a bit think I’m boring. In a way, I can understand that, because the outward façade of my personality can be a bit guarded. I believe it as a self-protection mechanism that we all use to one degree or another. It’s only when people know me very well that they get the taste of the real me. And I say taste, because I still find it hard to lower my defences completely (although one person has got close).

Touching, really.

OK, it’s been a while. I tried entering “tin whistle babe” in Google, and what popped up straignt away? This: http://www.bomis.com/rings/andreacorr/

There was a profile of Dollie Parton on BBC TV the other evening, and looking at her dainty hands and slender hips and hearing her say she’s only five foot nothin’ made me think, she’s really pretty much the same build as Ms C.

Well here’s mine ~ and I don’t even like cats!!!

You mean “catz” - those are from an old computer game that I believe has either gone under or is struggling. Fun game, if you’re a cat lover. (hush, Brian! lol) They also had Dogz, Babyz, and Oddballz - Oddballz being the best but the first to go under, unfortunately.
