I’ll be sad to see them break, but I’d rather see them go this way than burn out and fizzle away.

Bah! If someone had told me it was their “farewell” tour, I would
have been even more miffed that I missed them when they came
through town. I guess now’s my chance. Here goes: crud!
Oh well, I guess I’ll have to catch them on their first reunion tour.
That’s too bad. I’ve enjoyed their music.
They’re splitting up? Darn. I was supposed to go see them with my brother a few weeks ago, but I had to back out. I would have gone if I’d known it was their last one.
Hmph 
Now I’ll never get a chance to see them live…
