Tribute to Johnny Cunningham-ONE SHOW LEFT!!

There is only one more show listed.

DO NOT MISS THIS!

If you live anywhere near Rockville, MD, go to see this fantastic show. It was among the BEST musical experiences I have ever had.

The web site shows only one more show. Honestly, if you can go…GO.

Hey, cool. I can’t go, but cool.

Loren

I’m off to the Somerville Theater tonight for the Johnny Cunningham Tribute concert! Just by the Davis station on the Red Line, Loren.

Cheers,
David

I’m headed out Monday night for the show that’s almost right around the corner from my place.

Saw the tribute last night in somerville. Wonderful, warm feeling. Great music. Funny, touching. I never saw Johnny play, but there were moments when I felt him standing behind the players, smiling. Susan McKewon and Kevin Burke were very strong. Seamus Egan missed the show with a tooth problem but should make the next few. The slow songs and aires were especially good. As Phil Cunningham said, we’re never as happy as when we’re really miserable. The Dark Land in the 2nd set may have been the most moving.

Darn, I didn’t even hear about that until it was too late. Doesn’t matter much though as concerts (or anything else for that matter) are not in my budget right now.

How was it?

Loren

Whoops, this is what happens when you post without reading the whole thread, DOH!

Loren

Yeah…what dwinterfield said! Too bad about Seamus but a good show nevertheless. Phil played a beautiful slow air he wrote called (surprise, surprise  ) Johnny as part of the encore.

Cheers,
David

If you missed this concert, hope that there is a CD in the works. It was a great great show.
