New Piper Coming Soon

Ok, this is off topic, but I wanted to announce it here first.

For those of you who don’t know, I am expecting a future musician, due December 15th! (I don’t know if I’ll start him on the pipes, maybe one piper in the family is enough). I think he likes the pipes, though, cause he started squirming around last night when I was playing Garret Barry’s.

Justine

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations Justine! This is great news. What a lucky kid.

Good luck!

Patrick.

How will you reach the reg keys now? :boggle:

 I’m wondering what will happen when the belt doesn’t fit any more!

Congrats Justine! Let me know if you want to borrow a shotgun for the wedding pictures

What lovely news! Congratulations to the happy parents!

My congratulations to you and to John, too!

I think it’s safe to say that I’ve known you longer than anyone else here. I don’t actually remember when we met, but it’s got to be close to 20 years ago, 'cause you were just a kid then yourself. And to think you’ll soon be a parent! Cool.

You’ll be a lovely family, I’m sure. I’m very happy for you.

Bungee cords?

Thanks everybody! You’ll have to make the announcement to all the San Diegans for me, Jonathan.

J.

Consider it done.

Never mind the regs, she’s got to stretch to tune the base drone. Or maybe John does that for the time being. I’m sure Gaby would let you use the Fromont F practice set that Brian has.

Always played music when my wife was pregnant. Maybe that’s why the kids turned out as reasonable human beings.

Congrats- should have gotten my other email as well

Cogratulations, Justine! That’s wonderful news.

Justine, congratulations!

And you think piping is a life-changing experience?.. :boggle: :astonished:

Congratulations, that’s wonderful!

congrats! You’re beating my wife by two months.

Hey hey, grand news!

Cool, another member for the pregnant pipers club!! :astonished:

Seriously, it can be done (gets a bit uncomfortable though). There is an old Northumbrian Pipers trick that sometimes works - Putting the belt of the bellows over your left shoulder instead of around your waist, and yes, I’ve tried it!

Congradulations.

Soon you’ll realise that playing the concert pitch pipes wakes the baby and you’ll want to trade them in for a nice quiet flat set …

Great idea!! Justine if you need to have your concert set put in exile for a bit when the baby comes, I’ll take care of it really well!!!

That is Great News Justine, Congratulations.

My son was born on December 14th. We tend to celebrate his Birthday earlier in the year.
