I'm loving the Wilkes!

For some reason, probably having something to do with the fact that my son has decided to take up PERMANENT residence in my uterus, the relaxin hormone has subsided and my embouchure is doing just fine. I have been playing the Wilkes Pratten flute and have been very pleased to discover that it and I are a great match. It helps me to cope with the price I paid. :slight_smile:

Congratulations Cathy,
I believe there is no price you can put on fulfilling dreams, musical or otherwise. To receive a child and a great instrument in one year is a blessing. Even if your child never learns to play, their memory of you playing and to have an heirloom to remember these memories of this caliber will last for generations.

Every time this kid moves, I have to brace myself. It’s like a glacier moving, only faster.

:laughing:! I just saw all this. Nope, no babies for this girl (unless you count kittens and baby chicks and such)! In fact, cocusflute, I’m driving that tractor toward a boat and your shed as fast as I can (though at a top road speed of 25 mph this could take a while), so there’s hope for me to crash your avatar yet (though my beloved Larry might take exception … :laughing:)

Well, Jessie, at least you’re getting in a little more practice time on your wonder flute. It’ll probably be history for a few months once the baby comes … :slight_smile:
