Birth Announcement

Hi all,

Well, as some of you already know, Eoghan Francis arrived at 10:25 am on his due date of December 15th! He was 7 lbs. 8 oz. with blond hair like his dad.

Since then he has been acting like a true musician and keeping us up all night making noise. :stuck_out_tongue: Last night he experienced his first session when a few friends came by to visit and play tunes. (He slept through the whole thing.)

I’l try and post pics at some point…he is a cutie pie.

Justine

Please do! Cuteness infusions welcome.

Justine,
Congratulations to all involved. Will he be playing bodhran, accordian, or recorder? Have you readjusted your u-pipes fittings?

He was born 8 days ago. Hopefully, his pics won’t be high school graduation…
Tony

Congratulations, Justine! I love the name too…Eoghan Francis was what we were thinking of using, but decided on Ɖamon Francis instead

I can’t wait to see the pictures.

congratulations!

Congrats, J. Please do post pics soon!

Congrats to you and the husband unit! I look forward to seeing the cutie pie mug shots.

Well Done!

Dontcha just love a timely baby?

Congratulations! Can’t wait to see the pictures!

Rattle, methinks.

Just let it end there and steer dear Eoghan away from the shaker egg.

Happy days, Justine.

Congratulations!

Linus is 3 months old now and still not sleeping through the night (or even close). I hope your sleeps for longer periods than mine!

 Jessie

Well, this is a nice piece of holiday news! Congratulations to both of you and best wishes.

Congratulations! That’s terrific.

BTW - sleeping is a fairly common neonate’s defensive response to over-stimulation.

Congratulations!

Rattle, methinks.

That’s pronounced ā€˜maracas’. And with his first session under his belt at such an early age, I’m betting he’ll tackle anything musical he can get his chubby l’il hands on.

I’m predicting that at 3 months he’ll be cooing along at sessions, at 7 months he’ll be thumping along on the world-famous upside-down-butter-tub-bongos, by 2 he’ll have mastered the spoons and be working a Ukelele like a pro. $10 says that at 3 he’ll be insisting on packing an instrument for overnighters at the grandparents house. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder if that would explain my cat often zonking out when I practice the pipes.

For cats it’s a defensive response to torture. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, is Eoghan pronounced sort of like Owen? Because there’s lots of people in my family named Owen.

Good job on the baby. Tell him I said ā€œHi.ā€

Despair, in any case.

I want too make a punny post about the baby being born
Justine time
but I already know it won’t be as funny as it intuitively feels it should be.

I know I mustn’t have been paying attention but I don’t recall noting in the past the womanity of feadogin.

I assisted the delivery of all my children and its a nice feeling. I trust you are reposed in such a feeling, feadogin.

season’s greetings!

Yep, it’s pronounced ā€œOwen.ā€ It’s the old Irish way to spell the name. By a strange coincidence the last name of the midwife who delivered him is also ā€œOwen.ā€

I told him hi from you and he said, ā€œEh.ā€ (That is al he can say right now.)
