new Overton low D whistle for sale

I recently purchased an Overton low D whistle made by Colin Goldie. I have regretfully concluded that this is not the instrument for me. I just find that I really cannot make the stretch with my hands - I have given it my best effort, but it just doesn’t work out for me.

I would like to sell this whistle, as well as the whistle hardcase I bought, which is very attractive and sturdy.

Just so you’ve covered all you possibilitied, have you tried the piper’s grip? I’m not familiar with the Overton Low D and it’s particular reach, but unless your hands are very small, the piper’s grip usually works for Low D whistles.

I really believed I would have to give up my Overton low D for the first 2 or so weeks I had it. Piper’s grip plus continued practice changed that. But, of course, you must be the judge of your compatibility with a whistle.

Particularly since the Overton has one of the most forgiving stretch requirements, I find.

Thus far, I have only had one low d that has a smaller right hand spread than my overton. That is the jubilee low d.

Now that I think of it, I need to get my bleazey up against that overton to see who wins!!!
