Along the way to finding the whistles that are truly mine, I purchased an Overton (Goldie) high D from my friend Patti, at Song of the Sea. Knowing my regard for Mike Burke’s instruments, she tried to convince me not to buy the Overton - because it was so different - but I would not listen…I am convinced that different whistle types are meant for different people, and an Overton is simply not for me.
The Overton D is a truly beautiful instrument, in all regards…It is less than a year old, and probably has been played for less than a half hour. It is in mint condition.
