Overton Low D for Sale

I’m selling a non-tunable
Overton Low D, about one and one/half
years old, for 160 dollars.
I’ll pay shipping. This whistle is in excellent condition–there are some
blemishes, but you have
to search for them–and it plays
very well. It’s the genuine
article (bought it from The Whistle
Shop), and it does what the genuine
article is supposed to do.
There is an excellent padded case.
I’m not playing it much, and
the wolf at the door doesn’t
accept whistles.

Thom at The Whistle Shop is selling
these new for 170 and there is
a several month waiting list.
I find, personally, that non-tunable
whistles go just fine when playing
with other musicians–they either
have electronic tuners or
they tune to me.

Hi sports fans! I’ve been getting
queries about whether
the Overton low D I’m selling is tunable or
non-tunable. It’s non-tunable.

My comments that I think have
confused people are simply my
testimonial that the non-tunability
of the whistle hasn’t caused
me any difficulties when playing
with other musicians. I’m just
a big pitch pipe, and electronic
tuners (which guitarists
and fiddlers have these days) get them in tune with me anyway.

So, it’s not tunable.

I checked online at Song of the Sea,
which sells tunable Overtons for
240 dollars. I believe there’s probably
