The whistle was made by Bernard Overton and is in great condition. It is non tuneable. I bought it about 7 years ago in Mcneils music shop Dublin , supplier of quality traditional music instrument´s ( no longer around sadly).

I just bought a Overton low D made by Bernard Overton. No matter what anyone says, it sounds BEAUTIFUL, very steady, in the lower as well as the higher octave; it has a bit of a haunting sound by itself and is not hard to play once you’re used to the piper’s grip (easy to learn). It’s also loud, our singer had difficulty to keep up with his volume as I played. I’m very happy with it and my guess is that the buyer will not be disappointed.
