Hi there , I’ve temporarily come across from those surly devils on the Uillean forum to offer my Low D whistle for sale. I bought it off of e-bay in a moment of madness for £120 (lesson learned the hard way !!) It’s about 2 years old , I’ve had it for about 3 months and I’ve played it for about 20 mins. I’ve got too much going on with pipes. If anyone is interested send me a pm , cheers Mei.
I would prefer to sell it to someone from the UK but if anyone is interested stateside I’m sure we can work something out.
Just a couple question, is this a Bernard Overton or a Colin Goldie (should be engraved somewhere on the whistle, maybe inside on the far end) and is it tunable or non tunable?
Its a non-tunable , stamped with Overton mark on the body , a slightly bigger O than the rest of the other letters but I can’t see any other stamps.
Very good, thank you
And didn’t see any engraving on the inside of the tube at the end of the whistle? I don’t know for how long, but Colin Goldie has been signing his whistles here.
Don’t suppose you’d ever consider a Canadian buyer eh?
No problem sslling to anyone as long as they pay !!
Sounds about right
Mu interest in this whistle would be if it’s actually a Bernard Overton whistle
(I alright got a Colin Goldie Low D)
To be honest I wouldn’t know where to start. I’ll see if I can get in touch with person I bought it from and get an answer. I now also think it is older than the 2 years I originally thought it was. I’ve also had an e-mail with other things to look for and this suggests it was made by Bernard . Cheers Mei although I’m still tracking down further info.
looks like it is a Bernard Overton but may be a little older than two years. Still gathering dust and still for sale
Funds may be an issue, still working on it
I’m asking £100 plus p+p by the way
I will keep you posted. Otherwise good luck
Item now sold , thanks for all the interest.
