never mind

just delete this if you want to. it went in the opposite direction from what it was supposed to.

It makes me happy when people who are asked to give things a rest actually do it.

It would make me happy if I knew that he had this thing in a pond or a nice big tank where it has room to grow like it’s supposed to instead of in a bowl where its growth will be stunted and its organs will get deformed and it will eventually end up swimming around in a stew of festered uneaten food and its own urine.

. . . Lambchop suddenly remembers that it’s time to clean the bettas’ habitats . . .

I have a bodhran. People asked me to give it a rest. I have done for several years now, and I’ve noticed an increase in happiness all around me. But people are never satisfied. I fear they will turn on the harmonica next. It’s a constant shadow I live under. Why couldn’t “him above” have made me a fiddle player!

Or a Morris dancer?

:smiling_imp:

That may only be possible with some deep counselling sessions.

DISCLAIMER: this post is not express or implied advice but a conjecture and only that and nothing more, So Help Me Uma!

And I didn’t even mean it that way!

Let’s look at the topic title and this

Exactly how, then, did you mean it? As a reader I am confused by this sentence in your first post which appears to have little relevance to the issues about goldfish. I can only conclude that it is a dig at another issue about which Lambchop suuggests you give iit a rest. And, what about your topic title?

Do you expect me to be feckless when I read your posts?

Gasp! And I didn’t even mean it that way!

Excuse me, please, I need to go look up “feckless” in the dictionary . . . what a delightful word!

It’s not an “issue” about my fish, I just wanted to hear about little things that make people happy. I can’t see what Lambchop wrote unless I log in on another computer, so I’m not even going to ask! :astonished:

What, then, did you mean by posting this immediately after cranberry’s first post:

?

Was someone asked to give something a rest and they didn’t?
What was it in cranberry’s first post that prompted you to make this comment? Had someone asked that goldfish not be discussed?

Yes, it is. It ranks up there with “noisome” and “crapulous.”

Add your own special words that make you happy here, and forward the list to 10 people. In now time at all, you’ll get thousands of words.

Unfortunately, Tal, you’re feeding his ego. I wish that ignoring somethings would make it go away, but it doesn’t in this instance. However ignoring him entirely is good for the soul.

Tyg,
Returning to ignoring Cranberry posts indefinitely

OOH! And I didn’t even mean it that way! Believe me, I did not mean to feed anyone’s ego! How gormless of me! :astonished:

I really have no idea what’s even happening or why. le sigh

Tygress has learnt a little trick that has escaped even my best enemies.

Lambchop took a slightly subtle dig at you. Nothing particularly unusual.

And I am still curious as to where he’s keeping his goldfish.
