What on earth does “ram a ram a ding-dong” mean and how did it escape the censors? 
I thought it was “ram a dam a ding-dong”

I think it actually is supposed to be ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong. Not that the correction helps one iota in the meaning. I just thought I’d let you know
