Need Lads Of Laoise sheet music

I listened to the recording “Lads Of Laolise” that Jerry Freeman posted to demonstrate his Mellow Dog tweaked whistle and it has gotten stuck in my head. I have been using the Amazing Slow Downer to learn the song but I would much rather have the sheet music. Can anyone tell me where I can get it? I found a very simplified copy on SheetMusicOnLine.net but it is not nearly the same as the recording I heard. I am betting that someone on the forum knows where I can get it. I’m sure that the recording has all kinds of little imbelishments added to the basic song but I hope there is another version than the one I found out there somewhere. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you go to JC’s ABC Tunefinder, you will find versions of this song. Just type JC’s ABC Tunefinder into the search window of whatever browser you use. It yeilds more hits if you spell it without the final e. It is the same tune. Also, it is included in a tunebook called the Portland Collection. I highly recommend this as a source of many tunes which are adaptable to the whistle.

Thanks very much. I’ll do that.

How on earth do you pronounce Laois, anyway?

‘Leesh’ I think.

Spot on old chap.
