A friend has a CD of Aoife Ferry singing this beautifully (I was in serious danger of blubbing when I heard it). Said friend thought it would be delightful to be able to play it on guitar with a whistle accompaniment, and I agree…
Thanks to your efforts I now have both the chords and the melody in D. Sadly I have not Aoife Ferry’s voice and neither does anyone else I know

I’ve just ordered the CD from Virgin here in the UK.
She really does have an amazing voice… I’ve also ordered her album entitled “Aoife”, which is all traditional gaelic songs. I found her website too, http://www.aoife.ie
My CDs arrived! The album “Aoife” is marvellous, and has some really ethereal Low Whistle playing and masterful Uillean piping by John Mc Sherry. I heartily recommend it to all.

Amongst my many dreams… to be able to play the whistle well enough to accompany such talent. Right now though I think I’d settle for a front-row seat at a live performance. The lady has a voice would make Elves dance and weep for joy, methinks.
