Need help identifying an old instrument

I have a child’s instrument which belonged to my mother who played it in grade school in the late 1930s. It is in a cardboard tube with a book of music designated for a clarolet, a fluteolet, or a fife. It is approx 14" long, metal, 6 holes with a bell end. I am interested in determining its manufacturer (no imprints on instrument or container), age, value, rarity, etc. A Google search has not been helpful with this one! I did find a thread on this forum from 10+ years ago which leads me to believe it is indeed a fluteolet. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
