My Christmas Whistles Arrived

Today I went to the Post Office and picked up my new Gary Humphrey D, Eb set. Everything that has been said about them being great is absolutely true. They sing without effort and are very well balanced between octaves. These are two that will never be sold by me. They have that traditional sound that most people like. I was very impressed by the workmanship. Do I like them? You bet!

YAY!!! I’m happy for you, Ron! There’s nothing like getting whistles in the mail or from a shop, or any other place for that matter

Lucky you Ron! I’m waiting for one I ordered at the end of Oct, from a maker who has received kudos for his whistles, but will probably not get any for his communicativeness. Aarrrgh.

Wow. Is that really a word.. :boggle:

Slan,
D.

Believe it or not, it really is a word.

From the Merriam-Webster online dictionary:

Main Entry: com·mu·ni·ca·tive
Pronunciation: k&-'myü-n&-"kA-tiv, -ni-k&-tiv
Function: adjective
1 : tending to communicate : TALKATIVE
2 : of or relating to communication

  • com·mu·ni·ca·tive·ly adverb
  • com·mu·ni·ca·tive·ness noun

English is a wonderful language, ain’t it?

Cheers,
John

…and even if it weren’t, it would be in my nature to make a word up.

Too little or too much?

Sigh. I am still waiting for my Christmas whistle. I know that it was shipped before Christmas by the maker, but it hasn’t arrived…

I wish to add that I ordered my whistle after Christmas. Gary has been very prompt and helpful. He is also a master of communicativeness. After a day of playing it just keeps getting better. This could end my WhOA. But then again I don’t have a wood whistle.

Ron

too little…but this just in: I heard from him just this morning and I feel duly updated.
