Purchased a used Sindt Bb whistle in March, from the USA. It was dispatched in March…The whistle arrived at my house in the UK today. I think it must have done a few laps of the world!!. Was it worth the wait?..Oohh yes.

The little bit extra for global express mail is well worth it… of course that’s often a hard learned lesson! :roll:

I think what happened, the customs people intercepted it and thought it was a mini rocket launcher, they were waiting for the other bits to turn up!
You’re pretty close to the mark I think!! … I shipped one out once… showed up back at my shop, 7 weeks later with "HAZ-MAT HAZ-MAT HAZ-MAT… " bright colored tape all over it, and a letter from customs explaining that the contents of the package (a full set of whistles) when x-rayed could not be verified as safe and possibly … Hazardous!!.. ooooooh…, and I should include a complete and detailed description of contents, blah blah blah… etc. etc.
In essence… ‘here’s your pipe bomb back, please try again’ 
That’ll teach you to live so far away. 
That’s about the same amount of time it took for a dictionary that my sister-in-law sent from Taiwan to my APO address in Japan. I had given up all hope of ever seeing it, actually forgotten all about it, and suddenly, there it was. A whistle is even better than a dictionary–especially a Sindt. My used high D is becoming one of my top favorites.
