Marcus has some nice photos and sound clips on his website and learnt his pipe making with Dave Williams - probably the source of his scalloped pattern for the note holes. His chanters have a modern look with post mounted keys.
Haven’t actually seen any of his work close up but he seems like a nice bloke and I’m sure he could give you more information himself.

If I may make one suggestion: Everytime I visit your site, it seems to take FOREVER to load. I don’t know if this is a side effect of all the flash programming or whatever, but several times my browser has timed out after trying to download stuff for a few minutes with no results.
I am on a dial-up connection, and while it can be slow sometimes, it never seems to hang like this on most any other site I visit. Just an observation.

Cheers, the site does seem to be causing some problems and is less than speedy at the best of times.
I’m assuming its because its entierly written in flash, which although looks good might be too slow to be practical. Someone did suggest it might be faster to have a HTML site with flash sections or movies, as it where.
Having said that i may just go back to a standard HTML site, something like Andreas Rogge’s works well and looks good.

That’s one slow mama-jama. What’s with the blue squares that float down when you run the pointer over them? Is there a hidden meaning to this?
Sadly no, although i suppose it gives you something to do while waiting.
