If any of you would like to see my C# Chanter from Brian Howard take a look at: www.teirw.force9.co.uk/images and look at C#1.jpg C#2.jpg C#3.jpg and C#4.jpg. I could not be more pleased!
Mmmmmmmmmmm C# Chanter. Beautiful. ![]()
I quite like how the stop key is at the back allowing you to cut in and out on a d rather than a c#.
Is that one of Brian’s ideas?
David
No, the Taylor brothers came up with that one.
Patrick.
The popping valve is a copy of Andreas Rogges’,how do I know??..Brian took a photograph of the one on my B set in Miltown one year ![]()

Very nice. Everytime you see work from Brian its is a masterpiece.
Is it just me, or is that back D scalloped excessively deep? On the whole though, very nice looking work. Marcus Coutler and Andreas Rogge also use a pinned key design on some of their sets correct? I must admit, I like the look of keyblocks, but still this one’s a beaut!
Nice looking, I really like the keywork. I am already looking forward to hear the chanter on the floating tionol and maybe play it myself ![]()
Hi Elmar, You will be very welcome to try it out. I’m really glad to hear that you’ll be travelling to be with us again. I look forward to it!
