For those of you who are thinking about going to the Lunasa concert in Hartford next week, but haven’t gotten your tickets yet, I would suggest you get them soonest.
While listening to Celtic Airs on WWUH this morning, the host mentioned that as of yesterday afternoon there were only 20 tickets remaining.

Then they put on Irish/Country Western. . . .icky. Rather listen to the news than some Irish group doing bluegrass-country-western.

About the Irish country western: I couldn’t agree more, Tygh. Really sad stuff, and yet several musicians who started out trad have gone that way, like Mick Hanly and Sean Keane (Dolores’ brother, a great singer). Can’t fathom it, really.

I agree with you both on the Irish-Country Western type music. Horrible stuff.
