Does anyone out there have a Sillkstone Ace they are interested in trading away? It can be the regular model or the D Plus model.
My current trade stock includes:
Murgacz high D (there was a brief flurry of interest about these on the Whistle Forum before the guy decided he wasn’t going to make them for a year of so. It looks rustic but has the sound of a high end whistle. A neat whistle
Overton F (Bernard, I believe) it’s got a nick in the part of the mouthpiece that goes in your mouth. Sounds good but takes focused breath
O’Brien Rover pocket D/C set
Burke Brass Black tip session high D
Silkstone aluminum narrow bore high D. Sort of want to keep this one. Plays for ever on a single breath. But to get an Ace I suppose it can go.
Casey Burns folk flute
Hoza Ef flute in Cookstown Ironwood. No tuning slide but does have rings and the nice leather case. Easy player, nice sound
Might be willing to part with my Abell low G in Blackwood since I’m playing my G O’Riordan mostly right now
Stringed instruments: Troubadour mandola; Hora bouzouki; Mid Mo mini-mo; Mid Mo Model 0; Deering Vega Little Wonder maple open back 5 string banjo; Vega cylinderback mandolin made around 1919. Just be aware, I’m very proud of it and won’t part with it easily. ![]()
I’m probably missing something but that’s all that comes to mind. I’ll be out most of the weekend so don’t worry if I don’t get back to you immediately.
email or PM either will work
take care
