There was some discussion about deleting threads in Cranberry’s topic about locking threads. Cranberry is of the view that threads over 20 pages should be locked or some such nonsense. Cranberry was phantasizing about being a moderator and what he or she would do.
Another way to minimise material is to delete posts in a topic. Now if I were a moderator this is what I would do to Cranberry’s topic. This is what the topic would look like after I’d finished with it.

What I meant is that when the whole forum reaches a certain number of pages (I used 20 as an example) the older ones (especially the off-topic and non-informative ones) past page 20 would be deleted, if I were moderator (and of course I’m not, I’m just the nanny here, remember?).

Notice the words “or some such nonsense”? That means anything else you may have meant and implies that what I think you may have said may not be the case and the latter phrase is there to cover all the other options which are nonsensical.

Frankly, if you’re not a vegetarian what’s the difference whether there is lamb or cat in your stew? I have heard cat with lime rind is quite nice.
