OK. I know who Barney is, I’ve seen pictures of him, but I’m beginning to think I’m the only person on the planet who doesn’t know the tune to that song. (How hard should I try to keep it that way?)

Not very. Do you know the tune to the nursery rhyme “This Old Man (He Played One)”? It’s the same tune, but slowed down.

Aha! That’s the tune sorted out. Now there’s just the matter of Barney’s voice. I’ve always imagined a sort of junior Liberace sound.
