Keyed flute - pipers held

Pipers grip is traditional?

Really?

:really:

What would Rockstro say about that, I wonder?

Of course what do I know.

I’m one of those inline emb. hole cretins. yur mother warned you about.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Aanvil,
let me have the pleasure of believing so

piper’s grip flute for sale

Its a deal.

Copley makes a pretty good flute (I have played them) and at that price its nearly a steal.

It does look like a great price for such a flute! Too bad I’m short on cash ;/
I’m already waiting for my new keyless Casey Burns for a few months now (Including that Alba F which should arrive soon too), can’t afford another flute.

But then having 3 differnt flutes would be and overkill.

oh, dear…

Bah!

One can never be too rich, too thin or have too many flutes.

You could sell the Burns when you get it.

The Copley will more than make up for it.

:poke:

Hey… aren’t you up past your bedtime? Its 2am over there man!

I know… that must make me a serial killer of a sorts then.

And what if the Burns turns out to be great? I hope there’s no question of what’s best.
I cannot part with good flutes

it’s not a question of best
it’s which one most suits yer mood
at any given point

You know… like women.

(Also an expensive and potentially heartbreaking hobby)

Let me go ahead and get this over with now.

:tomato:

multiple flutes is much safer (you can change “safer” to many other words)

You missed a spot . . . . :tomato:

Trip-

If you’re looking for a keyed flute for piper’s grip, take a look at Brazenkaine’s thread.
https://forums.chiffandfipple.com/t/hamilton-6-key-eb-cocus-pics/61475/1

Why?

I mean how much different is that from a normal setup besides that funky G# touch?

Why???

Just looking to help the guy out so he can see some possibilities. Are you cleaned up yet? :tomato:

Nope… I’m currently covering my insides with grape juice.

Really though… I don’t see that the blocks are that much out of the way to “facilitate” a pipers grip.

Seems kinda normal actually.

Truth be told… I don’t think that a long pipers grip really makes for much a problem except for perhaps the Bb key and maybe the G#/Ab and thats on my Wylde Rudall. Its just easier with a “classic” hold.

I have long fingers and big hands though so…

i don’t think Brazenkaine’s flute was done to fit piper’s grip, or at least not any, but you actually have an example of a Bb key for the right hand…

Hi Guys,

Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, only going by Brazenkaine’s own words about a Hammy keyed flute he had made specifically for his piper’s grip. Check out the thread. It’s a D flute, but same setup as that Eb. Both look great. I happen use the ‘traditional hold’ but why not get the keys setup specifically for you if you can and plan on holding onto the flute?

Oh well…
It also depends on how forward you put your fingers, that C key on the Eb flute looks like it would get in the way. But of course i didn’t try it so i can’t be sure…
