I am spending alot of time answering emails concerning the availablity of our products in the USA and Canada. So to save me time ,I would ask you to tell me if you have a music store near you that you think should stock our whistles.
As I use a wholesale distibution network,I know that they only serve a fraction of the stores across the region.
The wholesalers will not give me any info as to where they distribute , so many people who want to try our whistles don’t know where to go, and, many places that do stock our whistle are too far from them.
If you would like a stockist near you ,please help me to find them.
Email any info to : phil@kerrywhistles.demon.co.uk
PS I’m sorry if this post offends but I’m just trying to do a better job.

Hi Phil,
I think Elderly Instruments should carry your whistles. It’s in Lansing, Michigan, http://www.elderlyinstruments.com.
The URL for Elderly Instuments is
and they do carry Chieftains and the Kerry Low D already.

Anyone who gets offended should get up and walk outside of their house for a little while. There’s a whole lot out there more deserving of offense.
So far, I haven’t found any shops in Phoenix that carry anything other than Generations and Clarkes. Not sure what the market would be like here for a high-end product.
I hope your distributors don’t find out you’re trying to sidestep them like that Phil, hoo boy I bet they’d be pissed!
Aren’t there distribution contracts involved? During my years managing an instrument store here in the U.S., I found there was no distribution of anything without a written contract for exclusive rights to a particular territory. Very serious stuff indeed…

Hey, you guys aren’t gonna get “sickening” again, are ya? ![]()
Hey Loren, things have moved on a little, lighten up buddy! jes doin’ ma job.

Smile ,and bring a little happiness into the world!.
Phil - Andy’s Front Hall in Voorheesville, NY (near Albany) stocks whistles and some Kerry’s, but I only get up there once a year or so on business. SAm Ash is convenient but they generally only stock Oak, or Generation or other low end whistles in small amounts inconsistently. One other possibility is Rod Baltimore in Manhattan; they sell and repair woodwinds and sometimes carry an Overton or Chieftain. Take care. Phil (the other one)

JFC. Quit it.
Two stores in Vancouver carry whistles, that I know of, and I’d love to see them carry many more. They are Rufus Guitars and Prussin Music. Unfortunately, I don’t know if the market for whistles is very strong here.
Phil,
You really have good marketing, your whistles were everywhere in Ireland. It’s great to see a mastermind in action! ![]()

Well, the Songbird is not at the Shanna Quay website - mainly because no one (ie Phil or his distributors) will send me a nice piccy of it (despite asking several times).

Steve,
I know you’ve been asking for a Songbird photo for a while now, but hold on just a litle while longer. I’ve ordered a Songbird from The Whistle Shop, which should be here early next week. I do computer graphics, corporate web sites and digital imaging for a living, so I’d be happy to send you some good Songbird photos…after playing a few tunes on it first of course!

Phil… if you’re the manufacturer, don’t you cut your own deals with the distributors?
Phil, are there any stores in San Jose that you know of, that carry your whistles? I hate to depend on Lark in the Morning in San Francisco.
Hey Tony,if only it were that simple.
I have been working with Lark now for 8 years and apart from the 4-5 stores, they only use a mail order cataloge, they don’t have a rep going round the stores getting product into different locations. This is why there is such a limited amount of stores selling ,not only mine but all whistle products. It’s the same with the east coast.
There are no distribution contracts,so I can’t pull them up for doing an average job.
This is why I’m taking matters in to my own hands and trying to get an idea of all the blank whistle areas. If I contact the stores directly,I can tell them that there a a large demand for all the various whistle make as there is a very large whistle community that is undersupplied.
Lark’s owners have now sold out and moved on,so there is a new broom in to deal with,I hope this will improve things, but I’m not counting on it,so I’ll do my homework and get things rolling.
So,if you want to try whistles but have no outlet near you that stocks whistles ,please let me know,I’m on the case.
All the best
Phil
PS thanks for all the info so far, things are now moving.
