Phil at one time made Kerry Low whistles in Keys other than D, I have a found a G but I am looking for ones in any other Key (C, Eb, E or F). If anyone has one in these Keys that they would like to sell let me know.

This thread has the likings of Mt. St Helens. Either that or an old rug that is still dusty.
Just out of curiousity, and I know this isn’t why you posted this thread, but why not an Overton? What do you find in the Kerry that you don’t or have not in the Overton?
Truley I’m not trying to stir the pot. I’m just very curious about the matter. ![]()
The Kerry whistles are the ones with the plastic mouthpieces.
I don’t think there’s a whole range of them like the Chieftains and Kerry-Pro’s.
Methinks, best thing would be to contact Phil about this.

I like the Kerry whistles because of the plastic mouthpiece (I do not like the feel of metal in my mouth). For soprano whistles I presently have only the cheap (but tweaked) Generation type whistles. The Kerry is the nearest low whistle to the Generation type (I know there is also Howards but I like the Kerrys better and I have learned how to tweaked them to sound pretty good)there is.
I have eMailed Phil and he presently only makes the low D. Searching the web I have found dealers that list other Keys on their web site but I only found one that had any in stock (a low G) the others say that they used to be able to order them but they are no longer on the current order list from Phil.
So I thought it was worth a shot to see if any body on the board every brought one when they were available and would be willing to sell them now.
Joe
Since Phil isn’t producing the other keys right now, another option for you would be the Reyburn. His mouth pieces are wood; I’ve never tried them, so can’t comment on playability, but there are others that have - if you’re interested, check the archives.

There is a big difference in price between a Kerry and Rayburn. I also like how the Kerry has that thick aluminium body.

Email me at phil@kerrywhistles.demon.co.uk with your requirements and I’ll see what I can do.
Phil.
Ooops, I put the pro into the Kerry. I know what whistle your talking about now. Sorry 'bout that. ![]()
